Project Details
We had previously built a couple Sun-Lounges at Helen’s previous home, where once she had moved to Kintore into her lovely new home, and had settled in, her first port of call for an open plan Extension to her Kitchen was Monarch.
Once we discussed her requirements, we immediately set to drafting up drawings for her proposed Extension with a couple options on the table, where the Open Roof, Gable style with exposed, Oak clad timber beams were chosen to compliment the interior.
Due to the open plan type roof, a steel goal post frame was installed to the frontage to give the building structural rigidity. Triple Glazed UPVC windows were installed along with 2 Electric Velux rooflight’s and wet underfloor heating was installed, which followed same format as the house and allowed for clear walls with no radiators to work around for furniture layouts.
An extended patio was formed with new path around perimeter of extension to connect to existing path. This was a reasonably straightforward build which has created a fantastic new space, where Helen now enjoys many regular hours in the Sun Lounge bathed in lots of natural light.
