About Us
Monarch was founded in 1996 by John Esslemont. John was immediately joined by his son Darren, and they combined John’s expert Design experience with Darren’s knowledge as an accomplished tradesman.
Having built a vast range of different types of extensions, where they soon built up an excellent reputation for good honest advice and delivery of a good quality design and build. In recent times, Darren’s son Jack has joined the business as an apprentice joiner, and he is determined to continue our good work to date. In the first few years of business, the bulk of the business, was new Conservatories being built, where around 2004, the workload more or less changed overnight, to solid roof Sun Lounge Extensions, with a mix of Sun Lounges, window and cladding works being the main works for many years.
As times changed, we started designing and building more Open Plan Kitchen Extensions, Garage Conversions, and Bedroom Extensions, along with a variety of different home improvements.
Design, Manage, Build
Due to Monarch having designed and built a large variety of Extensions along with a variety of other home improvements, since 1996, where between Conservatories and Extensions, we will have built well over a 1,000 in that period of time, we have built up a great knowledge base on what works best for our customers, where we often land going back to existing customers to carry out more works, from replacement windows and doors, another extension or new works on a new property that the customer has purchased.
Committed to Quality
Monarch design and build many main stream extensions through to quite complex extensions and carry out a variety of renovation type works. Should you have your own drawings, we are happy to quote for these works.
All quotes are highly detailed, so that you are fully aware of what has been allowed for and is written in a clear manner. Based in Kintore, previously having been based at Sauchen, we find, that we are centrally located for carrying out works in the North East of Scotland.
