We had previously Designed and Built an Open Plan Kitchen Extension to Nicola in her last property and fortunately for Monarch, Nicola didn’t hesitate, when she moved into Aberdeen to contact us for ideas to build a new Open Plan Kitchen Extension.
We had discussions on a couple different options for the property and a couple proposals were drawn up and decisions were made to settle on the Large Open Plan room, with a large opening formed with steel portal frame to support the walls and roof.
The original outdated conservatory which had been built off of the original bay window, was removed to create a blank canvas for the works. The Extension was built with an orangery type rooflight installed to flood the Extension with natural light and to bring borrowed light, back into the Kitchen, Dining area, where a Sarnafill flat roof was formed which had White PVC Fascia’s and Soffits and PVC windows and doors and as part of the works, with new first floor windows installed and a complete new layout to the first floor bedrooms with an additional Office room being formed with new in built wardrobes formed in the bedrooms and new window opening formed to allow for the new Study.
The interior of the Extension creates a large open space for family living with fabulous entertainment space with a separate bar area for that purpose, along with a re-vamped Utility area finished off with a good quality Vinyl floor and new Composite side door.
