Project Details
This a beautiful project which was designed by MAC Architects, where we built the extension to our customers requirements to create a new larger Kitchen and Utility.
The original outbuildings to the rear of the property, which are very typical for Terraces in Aberdeen were outdated and not very functional or aesthetically pleasing and had no insulation and were difficult to heat.
The rear buildings were fully demolished with the opening enlarged to allow for better access and a more open plan aspect. The Exterior of the Extension had a lovely combination of Granite, Dry dash harling and Marley Cedral cladding, with Nordan Aluclad windows and patio doors with a slate roof above the Utility and insulated Sarnafill flat roof above the Kitchen with Parapet detail with a Glazed lantern rooflight above the main run of kitchen units for an excellent level of borrowed daylight. A slate patio and both was installed where customer then installed a lovely wild flower area to finish of the garden.A new cupboard was formed with new Gas Boiler and hot water tank installed and with our recommendation, wet underfloor heating was installed rather than radiators which freed up the wall space. We installed a new Kitchen and Utility which was designed and supplied by Laings Directline in Inverurie.
