Meganne & Kat were looking for more living space for their growing family, with ideas on creating more space off of their Kitchen and Dining area where the Dining area wasn’t very functional due to the narrowness of the room and having to move through the Lounge to get into the kitchen where the original layout of the property, simply wasn’t very functional.
They had spoken to other design and build companies and weren’t convinced with what was being offered, with a major sticking point, being that they weren’t willing to extend and fully open up the rear of the property to create a full open plan living area.
This is where Monarch often specialise in this type of works with numerous open plan Kitchen extensions being built over the years. With this project, the partition between the Kitchen and Dining room was removed, with the opening in to Lounge infilled, with the main works being the formation of a large opening into new Extension to make a very nice open plan area to have the Dining table and a new family living area with large Patio doors to the garden to create that shared family living space.
